These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Urega Foundation scholarship application platform. By accessing our platform or applying for a scholarship, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@urega.org.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Urega Foundation scholarship application platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, applicants, scholars, and others who access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility to Apply
To be eligible to apply for the Urega Foundation scholarship, applicants must: • Be a Cameroonian citizen or permanent resident • Be enrolled in a qualifying secondary school or educational institution • Meet the specific academic and financial criteria outlined in the current scholarship cycle • Submit a complete and truthful application by the stated deadline • Not be a current scholarship recipient under the same cycle Submitting false, misleading, or incomplete information will result in immediate disqualification and may bar future applications.
3. Application Process
By submitting a scholarship application, you: • Confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge • Authorize the Urega Foundation to verify information with educational institutions and other relevant parties • Consent to being contacted by the foundation regarding your application status • Agree to participate in any required interviews or assessments as part of the selection process • Understand that submission of an application does not guarantee selection The foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion.
4. Scholarship Terms and Conditions
Scholars selected to receive the Urega Foundation scholarship agree to: • Maintain the academic standards required by the scholarship program • Notify the foundation of any changes in enrollment, school, or personal circumstances • Participate in program activities, mentorship sessions, and foundation events when required • Represent the foundation with integrity and professionalism • Complete any required reports or updates on academic progress The foundation reserves the right to suspend or terminate scholarship support if a scholar fails to meet these obligations.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this platform — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of the Urega Foundation and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission. Application content you submit (essays, documents) remains your property, but you grant us a license to use it for the purposes of evaluating and administering your application.
6. User Conduct
When using our platform, you agree not to: • Submit fraudulent, false, or misleading information • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts • Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform • Use automated tools to submit multiple applications or manipulate the application process • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to harm the platform or its users • Harass, intimidate, or abuse other users, staff, or reviewers Violation of these conduct standards may result in disqualification, account suspension, and legal action where applicable.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Urega Foundation shall not be liable for: • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages • Loss of data, opportunities, or goodwill • Technical failures or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control • Actions or decisions made based on information provided on this platform Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which in most cases is zero, as our services are free to applicants).
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The Urega Foundation makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to: • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose • That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure • That any information provided on the platform is complete or accurate We do our best to maintain a reliable and accurate platform but cannot guarantee perfection.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices. Any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding the use of personal information will be governed by the Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If resolution is not achieved within thirty (30) days, disputes may be submitted to the appropriate courts of jurisdiction in Cameroon.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe: • Violates these Terms • Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties • Is fraudulent or illegal Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
